My review of Phoney Photo by Mildred Abbott Everything is not always as it seems. Wow, this one was definitely "knocked out of the park" in excellence in keeping me reading! I love this series; they get better every time. Fred, Watson, and the "Scooby gang" interacted so well together and with all other characters. The pages flew as I was so involved with all that was going on that I was blown away at the perpetrators of various mysteries, murder, and mayhem! I am ready to start the next book in this intriguing series.

I love seeing "name" dropping our friends in a national media source along with assisting with showing the awesome trend toward "cozy" mysteries! #JennMckinlay #ValerieBurns #VMBurns #JulieAnneLindsey #BreeBaker #CozyMystery https://apnews.com/article/pandemics-neil-gaiman-coronavirus-pandemic-c0fe0a4c5705372f168eab3060a57539

I totally loved this story! Having lived in the South for over 30 years, I just loved the Ducote sisters and the southern properness (and not so proper) ways. I stayed up late last night reading until I could no longer keep my eyes open (still didn't want to stop but knew I had to get some sleep!) Finished early this morning as soon as I had enough coffee to keep my eyes open. I will start the second book of this series as soon as I complete this review - the series is that good!

"Delightful start to a series I know I am going to love. My preferred subgenre is Paranormal Cozy Mystery so I was so pleased to read that the main character, Carrie Singleton, can see a ghost (friendly) and that the ghost helps her solve mysteries. I am already starting the 2nd book in this series to see what other mysteries and mayhem are going on next! I highly recommend this series!"

New Month, New Attitude I am back! I am now reading again. Small steps but big change in attitude. No, I am not totally fearless, however, I am not going to let fear of failure (or maybe it's fear of success) get in my way of chasing my dream. And once I figure out exactly what all I want to include in that dream, I will pursue it! How was your Thanksgiving? Did you really dig deep and realized what you really have to be thankful for or did you just assume the usual standard was good enough? I did the digging and realized what was the most important in my life and am choosing to develop that into more. What are your plans for the coming Christmas? Will you spend a lot of money for material gifts or make something special using your own hands and mind? No matter your religion, or lack of, the Christmas holiday has more to do with feelings of faith and love than finding the best party. Whatever you do, do it with all of yo...

Here we go learning as I type. Never thought myself as a blogger but we all need to learn new things in this new world we are living in 2020! October 10, 1965, I chose a book to read (with a lot of help from my grandmother) by the name of The Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie. I fell in love with Miss Marple and became a lifelong lover of the Whodunit. I continued with each book of that series, moved on to the Detective Hercules Poirot series, most of the Nancy Drew novels, and tried to absorb as many mystery novels I could find. As I grew, I became interesting and read a great deal in Mathematics, History, Science, and Philosophy. However, I never lost the love of the mystery. I guess it is the natural love of puzzles that continues to this day. I have as I age choose to read cozy mysteries so that I get the whodunit without having to worry of excess violence, vulgar language, and explicit sexual actions. This is...
